Everyone wants to be more confident. But it can often seem as though most of the ways to be confident only lead to a temporary improvement in your confidence levels. If you are sick of feeling that way, and you want to actually find confidence in yourself that lasts, then there are actually things you can do to achieve that. So that is the good news. Here are some of the things you might want to try in order to gain for yourself a feeling of inner confidence that actually lasts for a long time, and builds over time too.

Take Care Of Your Health

It might sound strange, but generally looking after yourself is actually one of the main things you need to do if you want to be more confident. That means getting plenty of exercise, eating a healthy and varied diet, and generally making sure that you are respecting your body and your mind. It’s that respect which actually makes the difference, and which allows you to feel so much better in yourself, so it’s that which you should make sure you are thinking about here. The healthier you are, the more confident you will naturally be over time.

Dress Well

How you present yourself is a huge part of all this too. Dressing well, in fact, is something that you can definitely look into if you want to make sure that you are developing a confidence in yourself that will last for good. Sometimes it’s as simple as going to about:blank and getting yourself an entirely new wardrobe of clothes for a new season. And sometimes it’s more about dressing in a way that you feel reflects who you really are. If you can do that, it’s going to make for a much higher sustained level of confidence.

Treat Others Well

It’s not just about you, however – and this might be the best-kept secret of all regarding confidence. If you want to be really confident, then you need to make sure that you are treating other people well too. The more compassionately and kindly you treat people, the better you will feel about yourself, and the more likely it is that you are going to have a lot of inner confidence. That doesn’t mean this is the reason to do it, but it certainly helps and it’s a nice bonus to have for being good to others.

Be Honest

All in all, the more honest you can be, the better that is going to be for your confidence levels. If you are constantly lying and covering up, then that only means that nobody is going to trust you. Before long, you won’t be able to trust yourself either. Being honest is really important here, and it’s something that you can always work on and improve upon as and when you need to, so make sure that you are doing that. All in all, you’ll feel so much better about yourself.

Looking After Yourself Is Essential To Feeling More Confident

14 September 2023 by amber Leave a Comment

If you want to feel confident in yourself, then you need to look after yourself. Everyone seems to think that confidence is all about how you look, how much you weigh, how you dress and so more. While this is undoubtedly part of it for some people, confidence comes from the inside and has more to do with how you feel about yourself which can be impacted by a range of different factors. Your health is one of these, and that’s what we’re going to be focusing on in this article. Do you want to know more about this topic? Keep reading to find out.

Try To Get Enough Sleep

One of the things that you are going to need to do is make sure that you are getting enough sleep. While this might not seem like it’s important, sleep is important for both your physical and mental health which should make it one of your priorities. The average adult should be aiming for around seven hours per night in order for their body and mind to work at maximum capacity, but we know that this can be tough. Sleep requires a certain level of peace and that is why a lot of people struggle with it.

If sleep is not something that you find easy to do, then you’ve got to work on how you can sort this out. Setting yourself a bedtime and waking up at the same time every day is a good place to start. This way, your body starts to get used to this kind of routine and it makes it easier for your body to fall asleep. On top of this, you can sort out a bedtime routine that lets your brain know you’re going to be going to sleep soon. A lot of people find this helpful, so it’s worth giving it a go.

Remain Hydrated As Much As Possible

Do you take the time to ensure that you are drinking two liters of water per day? Don’t lie to yourself because the majority of people do not. However, your body needs this hydration in order to stay healthy seeing as we are made up of a large percentage of water, and need that water to complete certain internal processes. Without this, you are going to find it difficult to feel good as your body is going to be lacking in something vital.

Now, we completely understand that it’s difficult to drink so much water in a single day, especially if it’s not something that you are used to. There is a solution to this though, and it’s the O.R.S hydration tablets. These can provide your body with the hydration that it needs and coupled with water, will keep you feeling fantastic!

Eat A Balanced Diet

Eating a balanced diet is something that we were all taught about when we were children, and yet it seems to be something that a lot of us struggle with. Why is that? Well, there are a number of reasons actually. One of them is that it’s a lot of time and effort to cook healthy meals, especially on top of maintaining a job. Another is that you might not have time by the time that you get home from work and reaching for the takeout menu is just so much easier. While it might be easier, it’s not good for your body. You are what you eat as they are always saying, and you’re going to feel sluggish and awful if you are constantly putting processed fats and sugars into your body.

If you don’t want to cook after a long day, or you don’t have time to cook, then you should look into meal prepping for the week when you do have time. You’re not going to be working every single day of the week, so you can take a couple of hours one day to prepare your meals so that you only have to worry about heating them up. It’s a simple and easy solution to ensure that you are getting everything that you need into your diet, without making your life more complicated.

Exercise Regularly

Are you someone who exercises regularly? If the answer is no, then this needs to change sooner rather than later. We’re not suggesting that you start completing exercise that you hate, or that you go to the gym 7 days per week to do some high intensity workouts because this is completely unreasonable. But, that doesn’t mean that you can live the life of a couch potato either because this is equally unreasonable and very bad for you. As such, you need to be setting yourself a schedule and getting some regular exercise into your life. This might mean going for a walk every morning or every evening, it might mean going to the gym a few times per week, or doing workouts at home.

Whatever exercise you feel comfortable with is fine, as long as you are able to complete it regularly. We know it can be hard to motivate yourself at times, but it’s got to be done if you want to feel more confident.

Take Care Of Your Skin

The final quick thing that we’re going to say here is that you should be taking care of your skin also. A regular skincare routine will go a long way to keeping your skin healthy, and keeping you from feeling self conscious about it every time you step outside of your front door. Look it up or speak to a professional if you want some more advice regarding this.

It doesn’t have to be that difficult to take care of yourself, you have just got to be willing to put some effort into doing this. We know that a lot of people make it out to be this big, difficult chore that people have to do, but really it’s pretty basic. If you are struggling though there is help out there that can provide you with the support that you need while you try to get yourself organized. There’s nothing wrong with asking for help, so if you need it, make sure that you do.

How To Style Jewelry With Your Outfits

14 September 2023 by amber Leave a Comment

When it comes to jewelry, it’s important to see it as an extension of your outfit. They are the accessories that complement the other garments you’re wearing. That means you’ll want to shop around for jewelry that you can mix and match depending on the occasion.

With that being said, if you’ve not been a jewelry girl before, then here are some top tips for styling jewelry with all your outfits this year.

Make sure it matches the occasion

When it comes to the jewelry itself, check that it matches the occasion you’re celebrating. For example, you might want to wear an extravagant necklace if you’re going to a gala event or it might be a subtle bracelet and earrings combination for dinner with your significant other.

Finding jewelry that matches the occasion is important when styling an outfit because you don’t want the pieces to stick out like a sore thumb. Again, they should complement the outfit and not draw attention away from it.

Invest in statement earrings

Statement earrings are a great way to show off your jewelry collection and they’re often the only piece of jewelry you might need when it comes to dressing up an outfit.

There are plenty of statement-style earrings out there and while some might not be the most comfortable due to the weight, they are certainly something you might want to indulge with when it comes to dressing up an outfit.

Diamonds are a great way to invest in your closet

Diamonds are a girl’s best friend and that can certainly be said for the closet too. There are lots of different jewelers out there like Hannoush Jewelers for example, who can provide a real insight into the benefit of diamonds.

You should certainly consider investing in them when it comes to your jewelry, especially if you want pieces that last a lifetime. Not only that but it’s a great investment for any future generations of family that you pass it on to!

Experiment with subtly when it comes to your outfits

Every outfit deserves a different accessory, particularly when it comes to jewelry. However, not every outfit needs to be paired with something bold or statement-looking. For some, it might be a more subtle piece that’s required.

That’s why it’s always worth experimenting with the sizing of jewelry, as well as the colors and designs you can get. Often enough, it’s the subtly of an earring or necklace that rounds off the outfit perfectly.

Be selective with the amount of jewelry worn at once

Finally, when it comes to the amount of jewelry you’re wearing, make sure you’re being selective. You don’t want to be wearing too much at once, especially as it can end up making the outfit look a little cluttered and messy. Try on lots but when you think you’re dressed, take off one or two pieces of jewelry if they’ve been layered on.

Jewelry is a great way to style your outfits so make use of these tips to transform your looks this year.

5 Steps You Can Take to Feel More Body Confident

4 August 2023 by amber Leave a Comment

Do you want to feel better about your body and the way that you see yourself? If so, you have come to the right place. This guide will show you how you could better your appearance, as well as your self-esteem. Take a look below to find out more.

Get Reflective

The first thing you need to do is understand why you don’t feel very confident. Change is always possible, but you have to understand the source of the problem if you want to start feeling differently. Although it can be difficult, you do need to be very specific. You need to stop making sweeping statements about yourself. For example, you may think that you hate your body, but do you hate it all the time? Or is it just right now, you don’t feel happy? If you can break it all down and if you can get to the bottom of your feelings then this will help you in the long run.

Be Compassionate

It’s so important that you go easy on yourself. You are never going to go from hating your body , to feeling like Beyonce in terms of confidence. If you want to get an instant boost, then one thing you can do is focus on what your body does for you. Right now, there are trillions of cells in your body and each one of them is working tirelessly to keep you healthy and thriving. If you can rewire your brain so that you feel compassion and self-love on a deeper level then this will stop you from feeling punished and restricted. If you don’t know where to begin then imagine treating yourself in the same way you would a best friend, or a loved one. From there, you can then begin to make the right changes.

Change your Perspective

A great technique, if you do want to start feeling more confident about the way you look, is to set a timer on your phone. When you have done this, stare at yourself. Watch your pupils shift and change, and take note of the beauty of your eyes. Take note of everything, whether it is your collarbone, your mouth or anything else. If you catch yourself falling into a spiral of negative self-talk then do something about this. If you can see past your imperfections then this will allow you to see yourself for who you really are. If you want to make a positive change, why not look into dental crowns?

Practice Gratitude

Your body is nothing short of remarkable. Everyone has parts of their body that they don’t like, or that they would like to change. You may hate your thighs, but you may love your shoulders for example. Either way, one thing you can do is dress in a way that highlights what you love. If you can do this then you will soon find that you feel better about yourself in no time at all.

Ditch the Self-Criticism

The best way for you to break the cycle you are in would be for you to become more self-aware. Try and communicate your thoughts and take note of how many times you end up criticising yourself. This will show if you are beating down your own confidence levels.

No matter what the occasion, fashionistas are always difficult to buy for. They know exactly what they like and they’ve usually already got it. Trying to find an appropriate gift for someone who has everything is stressful work.

Fortunately, we’ve taken the weight off your shoulders. Here’s a list of gifts that every fashionista will love but may not think to buy for themselves.

Crochet Boot Socks

Boots are a must have for anyone who loves fashion during the Autumn and Winter. Your loved one may have a desirable selection of boots to choose from but it’s not easy to accessorise boots. Enter crochet boot socks.

Not only are these socks a great way to add some color and vibrancy to any outfit but they’re also very practical when it’s cold. If you want to add a touch more sentimentality to the gift, you could make them yourself. It’s not difficult to crochet a pair of socks and you can make them to your loved one’s specifications.

Silver Jewellery

Jewellery is a classic gift for any fashionista but when you want to mark a special occasion, sterling silver jewellery is always a winner. Silver is timeless and beautiful but it can also be unique and make a statement. From necklaces to rings and earrings, there’s something to please everyone.

Silver can also be worn for any occasion. Whether it’s silver studs for the workplace or a longline necklace for a black tie event, a silver gift will always be welcomed.

Leather Gloves

It’s impossible for leather gloves to look bad. Any fashionista knows that gloves aren’t just for staying warm. The right pair of leather gloves can enhance any outfit, no matter what time of year it is.

They’re also ideal for driving due to their grip. Many leather gloves come with touchscreen friendly material on the fingertips too so your loved one can stay connected while looking fabulous.

Long Line Wool Coat

Have you ever been caught out when you’ve needed to attend a formal event that took place outdoors? It can be very cold when you’re standing outside watching fireworks in the sky and the one piece missing in your wardrobe is a wool coat. If your loved one is the same, this gift could be exactly what they need.

You can never go wrong with a beige long line wool coat because it pairs with all outfits. It’s also great for traveling. It’s easy enough to compact into a suitcase if you need to and chic enough to wear for an evening in Paris.

Fluffy House Slippers

Even fashionistas have to relax but when they do, they do it in style. A set of fluffy house slippers is a perfect gift for chilling out at home. They come in different styles and different colours so you’re sure to find some that the recipient will love. You’ll even find some that have been bedazzled for the ultimate glitz lover.
